Africa Cup of Nations - Quarter Finals

Terry Lane - Saturday 02.02.08, 14:34pm

Not surprisingly Tunisia & Angola drew 0-0 yesterday. A result that sees both countries qualify and complete the line up for the Africa Cup of Nations quarter finals.

The quarter finals are to be played on Sunday and Monday, with the most mouth-watering tie being the host nation Ghana up against Nigeria. It’s the Black Stars against the Super Eagles.

Nigeria midfielder Seyi Olofinjana has described the Africa Cup of Nations quarter-final against Ghana on Sunday as “a revenge mission”.

Last year Ghana beat Nigeria 4-1 in a friendly match played in London.  The victory was their first over Nigeria in 15 years.

Olofinjana, who plays for Wolves in the English Championship, was in the Nigeria team that night.

“It’s a perfect opportunity to right the wrongs of last year,” he said.
