Only a few days ago Nicolas Anelka is quoted as saying that he would love to join a big club with an interest in the Champions league, but if it didn’t happen he was happy at Bolton and was content to stay there.
During those last few days Chelsea have made an offer for the French striker that never met the Bolton valuation, and although Avram Grant has made it clear that Anelka is a priority it seems the London club are continuing their policy of not being held to ransom.
Anelka known in the press as Le Sulk after the various temper tantrums he has shown during his career, is no longer a happy or contented man. It seems he has now met Bolton manager Gary Megson and demanded that he be allowed to leave and join Chelsea.
It is expected that a deal will be struck before the weekend.

he’s at it again! great player but will he ever be happy? At least at Bolton he was getting his game. Big fish in small pond and all that.
Saying that, a partnership with Drogba up front would be mouth watering, pace, power & technique, to quote a famous Scottish pundit!
