Aston Villa have confirmed that Nigel Reo Coker has been sent home from the clubs training ground today and has also been dropped from the Villa squad for Saturdays game against Portsmouth.
Villa boss Martin O’Neill has admitted that he had a ’strong verbal disagreement’ with the player on Thursday during training, but denies reports in some newspapers that suggest a physical confrontation took place.
O’Neill said that as far as he was concerned the matter was now closed and Reo Coker is expected to join his Aston Villa team mates for training on Monday. There is absolutely no chance of the former West Ham midfielder being transfer listed, he insisted .
