DTG reports that BBC and Sky are paying £264m for three seasons for football league from 2009/10. Sky gets to continue their coverage of the league and cups, while Championship and some league cup (currently the Carling Cup) matches will be on the BBC. Also reported by the Guardian, among others, but I didn’t notice it on the BBC web site.
Will this change how you watch football? It will for me - less watching English matches via Asian and African satellite stations!
