Benjani’s transfer to Manchester City has at last been resolved, the Zimbabwe striker passed a medical on Monday and signed a two and half year deal with the club.
It was reported that City had wanted to pull out of the deal suggesting that Benjani was not fit. This came about after the Football League officials announced that the transfer had not been concluded before the midnight deadline on January 31.
After Portsmouth called on the League to inspect the respective paperwork, officials confirmed that everything was in fact in order and the transfer had indeed been completed.
