No doubt Rafa will get some abuse for “tinkering” with the Liverpool team, yet again.
Peter Crouch starting in favour of Torres, can only be seen as Benitez trying to appease the England forward, already the target of the transfer rumour mongers. In the end Crouch, Kuyt and Torres were all on the same pitch and frankly never looked like scoring.
It was a subdued match to say the least and although Liverpool dominated most of the game, neither team were ever going to get the vital goal.
And so i turned to the managers bench to get my entertainment. Not much there either, other than Steve Bruce’s head seems to inflate between each camera shot. Its like he has a hamper of food, but we never see him eating. By the end his face is almost ready to explode and has taken on a rather red glow. Whats going on there!
