Possession was 50-50, but if anything Turkey appeared to have the slight edge. Considering injuries and suspensions, I really didn’t expect them to put up such a fight.

This was a fantastic performance by Spain as they devoured a determined but unlucky Russian team 4-1.
Torres and Villa were in splendid form tormenting a porous Russian defence, both testing the goalkeeper with weak shots in the first ten minutes. On eighteen minutes Torres set up a tap in for Villa.

Holland brought the UEFA Euro 2008 finals alive tonight with a stunning performance that stunned the World Cup holders, Italy in the first half; and destroyed them with an exciting counter-attacking game plan in the second half. It wasn’t as if Italy played particularly badly, just that Holland were simply on fire.
