Peter Crouch was in London’s Tower Hamlets yesterday for a special training session with Elite Youth – a Lottery-funded community youth project

With players like Ashley Cole getting arrested for being drunk and disorederly while his pop star wife is climbing Kilamanjaro for charity, it’s good to know there are some England footballers that are spending their time helping to promote good causes.

Peter Crouch was in London’s Tower Hamlets last week for a special training session with Elite Youth – a National Lottery-funded community youth project, that aims to bring out the best in young people by giving them a safe environment in which to access facilities and support that they would be unlikely to experience otherwise.

Elite Youth helps young people into mainstream education, employment and training. It organises football coaching and organised leagues amongst its many activities.

The National Lottery has invested more than £500 million into youth projects across the UK in the last year alone, and Peter Crouch’s special training session at Elite Youth kicks off a UK-wide campaign, which aims to bring to life Lottery-funded projects large and small.
