Terry Lane - Thursday 05.01.12, 09:06am

Some unexpected results over the Christmas & New Year period have brought the Premier League season to life.
What with Chelsea continuing to stutter under the ‘leadership’ of Andre Villas-Boas as he attempts to stake a strong air of Mourinho-like authority and dampen any dissenting voices from the old guard, going into the Christmas period it [...]

Under Fire Premier League Managers – who is next to be sacked?

Terry Lane - Sunday 04.12.11, 10:13am

After yesterday’s 3-0 win against Newcastle United at the newly renamed Sports Direct Arena that was, and still is to most people, St James Park, young Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas will be given a stay of execution.  That is until Tuesday night when they need to avoid losing or a high scoring draw against Valencia [...]

West Ham Relegated to the Championship

Terry Lane - Monday 16.05.11, 08:38am

West Ham are resigned to relegation and within 60 minutes of the full-time whistle against Wigan at the DW Stadium sacked Avram Grant as manager.  The decision apparently had already been made before kick-off.  But indecision early in the season helped West Ham’s decline.
Joint owners David Gold & David Goldman appointed Avram Grant last summer [...]

Who will be relegated from the Premier League?

Terry Lane - Thursday 12.05.11, 08:57am

This season has been a game of two halves for Ian Holloway and his exciting Blackpool side.
The Seasiders have certainly brought colour to the Premier League but since Christmas they have been on a rapid nose dive.  Their miserable plight continued last weekend even after securing a point with a 1-1 draw at Spurs.  They [...]
