Burton under threat

Following on from a previous post FA must approve “Burton”, it is reported in the Daily Express today that the plan is under threat because one of the old codgers on the FA board, David Sheepshanks has said that he objected to the site in Staffordshire.

The Advertising Standards Authority has told Setanta Sports that it can’t advertise Non-League fixtures in the way they have been and then not actually broadcast them.

Brazil’s Kaka wins player of the year award

25 year old Brazilian super star, Ricardo Kaka picked up FIFA’s player of the year award in Zurich earlier this week.
Beating off the challenge of footballs new young upstarts, Lionel Messi (2nd) and Christiano Ronaldo (3rd), Kaka added the award to his European Player of the year trophy from earlier this month.
