I have just watched the video replay of the shocking tackle in the Premier League game between Birmingham and Arsenal by Martin Taylor that left Eduardo with a broken leg. The video is absolutely shocking and reminded me of a scene from the film Jacob’s Ladder where a soldier is blown up and his foot left hanging in his boot.
As reported earlier, the tackle was shocking but not malicious and this evening Arsene Wenger as retracted his post-match comment suggesting Martin Taylor should never play football again. Taylor tackled Eduardo Da Silva with his studs showing, but the replay clearly shows his as mis-timed and accidental.
The video shows in a serious of images, the severity of Eduardo’s broken leg, as his leg completely breaks from his foot.

I disagree. It was a clumsy tackle, more than a malicious one. I do not believe Mark Taylor meant to do this.

I hope Eduardo will be alright even though I don’t support Arsenal
