Arsenal’s influential midfielder Mathieu Flamini, now looks set to leave the Emirates in the summer, with the player allegedly snubbing a £50,000 per week pay offer that has been on the table for over a month.
Arsenal fear that Flamini may already have signed a pre contract deal with Italian team Juventus and are close to accepting that the player will leave Arsenal when his current contract expires.
Flamini has been monumental for the Gunners this season, his combative nature, enthusiasm and natural skills have provided the perfect foil for play-maker Fabegras, with whom he has formed a brilliant partnership.
No doubt Wenger has long considered the loss of Flamini and has a replacement in mind, but it will leave a huge void for the manager to fill for next season.
