Incredibly, Fulham who looked odds on to be relegated at 3 o’clock last Sunday, could be on course for a place in the UEFA cup next season, courtesy of the Fair Play League.
Manchester City who were the top club in the Fair Play League that hadn’t qualified for Europe, lost their place to Fulham at the weekend when Richard Dunne was sent off at Middlesbrough on Sunday.
Nothing has been confirmed yet but Fulham are confident that are in a good position to qualify. The decision is made not only by on-field behaviour, but also includes administration efficiency. The club expects to hear from the Premier League bosses early next week.
It will be a double celebration for Roy Hodgson and his players if they are to be included in the UEFA Cup, after avoiding relegation from the Premier League at the eleventh hour.
The decision is bound to court controversy and will bring the whole European qualification process into question.
Is it fair? Have your say.

Well, to this Fulham supporter, it seems an odd occurence. But by the same token, UEFA should reward fair play (although I am not sure how administrative efficiency adds to fair play). UEFA, the FA and all federations should be encouraging fair play and any incentive to do so should be permitted. That Fulham may benefit is good as well, but even if it were Manchester City that gets it, I would be okay with the concept.

It is not fair. All the team know this spot before the EPL starts?
