By this time tomorrow, the English press will, I am sure, have crucified England Coach Steve McClaren following his teams dismal defeat in Moscow this afternoon.
Ironically it is Guus Hiddink, architect of Englands failure against Russia, who I see as the ideal candidate for Steve McClaren’s soon to be vacant position. Hiddink as huge experience at all levels of football, winning every honour possible at club level with PSV Eindoven. He has coached the Holland International team, and more recently has enjoyed unprecedented success with South Korea, Australia and now Russia.
Sadly Hiddink signed an extended contract with Russia just a few days ago. Chelsea boss Roman Ambramovich agreed a deal to keep Hiddink in charge of Russia until 2010, possibly bearing in mind that a few heads will roll as the group stages of the Euros draw to conclusion, and not wanting to lose his man, to say, England!
If its not Hiddink then I guess the peoples choice will almost certainly be Jose Mourinho, but who else should be in contention? And why?

Mourinho would be an excellent choice but I can’t see him taking the reins. The press will no doubt harp on about an English manager - look where it got them?
