It seems an age or more since last seeing Thiery Henry strutting his stuff for Arsenal.

A couple of years back he was in contention for the player of the year awards for two succesive seasons. Since then however you would be more likely to see Henry turn up for an Arsenal game, nicely tuckered up in his latest designer outfit, cheering on his gunner team mates from the comfort of the stands.

How strange then to see him in a football strip. But there he was, warming the bench for Barcelona in thier opening la Liga fixture away at Racing Santander. And when the wonderkid Lionel Messi made way for Henry in the second half, i was half wondering whether the ex gooner would remember what was expected of him.

As it turned out, he produced Barcelonas best chance, seeing his hard low drive strike the post.  I kind of like the idea of him playing again and despite Barcas poor start, a 0-0 draw, i can only see brighter things on the horizon for both Henry and this wonderful array of Barcelona talent.
