Keegan, Two Games To Change Things

John Williams - Friday 14.03.08, 12:17pm

According to reports in The Daily Mail, Newcastle owner Mike Ashley has growing concerns over the ability of Kevin Keegan to turn around the Magpies dreadful season.

Keegan who has managed just two points since taken over as club manager is said to have only two games to change things, as the club faces the real possibility of being drawn into the relegation dogfight. The club could already be in the bottom four before their next game against Birmingham on Monday.

Ashley is said to be considering moving Keegan to an ‘upstairs’ position within the club following the disastrous string of results since joining the club.

Dennis Wise would be the obvious choice to replace the troubled Keegan, who received the fatal vote of confidence from the Newcastle board after the last home defeat.
