Unbelievable action at Anfield as Barnsley came back from one behind to snatch a famous victory in the last minute of the game against Liverpool.
Brian Howard smashed in a shot from 20 yards to win the game for Barnsley and send them into the quarter finals. Stephen Foster having equalised Dirk Kuyt’s Liverpool goal in the first half.
Chelsea had a scare from Huddersfield with Michael Collins levelling the scores after Frank Lampards 100th goal for the blues. But another goal from Lampard and a third from Kalou sends Chelsea through.
Coventry got a thrashing from rivals West Brom, a thumping 5-0 win for the away side. Brunt opened the scoring with Bednar adding two and Millar and Gera putting the icing on the cake with one each. Coventry player Michael Doyle was sent off for what appeared to be a stamp on his opponent.
Jimmy Floyd Hasselbank scored a cracker in Cardiff’s 2-0 beating of Wolves and also set up the first, just minutes earlier for Peter Whittingham to score.
What an afternoon and still more excitement in store.
