Newcastle have sacked Sam Allardyce after just eight months in charge at St James Park. Sam Allardyce was given just 24 games. The BBC report that the decision had been reached “by mutual agreement”.
Newcastle are currently 11th in the Premier League after playing 21 games. They’ve won 7, drawn 5 and lost 9. But more than the results the sacking must be for the lack of style and commitment in the way Sam Allardyce has got the Newcastle team playing.
Allardyce said: “I am disappointed to be leaving Newcastle but I wish the club all the best for the future.”
Sam Allardyce was appointed by Freddie Shepherd before he left the club, and before billionaire Mike Ashley took charge. It had been reported that Allardyce was not Ashley’s choice.
Martyn Jol and Harry Redknapp are the bookies favourites after Alan Shearer once again said he would not swap the comfort of Match Of The Day for the Newcastle job!

One word. Doomed!
I can’t believe how stupid the board at Newcastle really is. It takes time, but time doesn’t exist in Geordie land. I think they suffer from the same disease that Spurs have. My boots are to big for me disease!

Perhaps a spell in the Championship league will teach the idiots on the Newcastle board and those impatient Toon fans that it takes time as well as money for a team to gel together to get results.
