Claude Makelele gave Avram Grant and Chelsea a fright before tomorrow night’s UEFA Champions League Final with an outrageous two-footed challenge that had Ashley Cole needing treatment in Chelsea’s last training session at The Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow.
Cole was able to continue training with his right ankle heavily bandaged, though did receive further treatment before the training session was completed.
I cannot believe how stupid a seasoned professional can be as to dive in with a two-footed challenge in a training session! What was Claude Makele thinking of? Now if that was a Manchester United training session I can imagine Makele would not only get the ‘hairdryer treatment’ but he would most probably be dropped and never play for the team again.
