Yesterday, after a nailbiting 90+ minutes Man Utd overcome Wigan 2-0 to win thier 17th league title, their 10th Premier League title. An outstanding achievement, since the Premier League, or Premiership as it is known, only began in 1992.
Sir Alex Ferguson nad Ryan Giggs win their 10th league title with Manchester United. Ryan Giggs also equalled Sir Bobby Charlton’s record of 759 appearances for Manchester United. The icing on the cake was that Ferguson sent Giggs on as a second half substitute to score the winning goal.
If Ryan Giggs plays any part in the European UEFA Champions League final on 21st May against Chelsea, he will set a new club appearances record.
Over the course of the season Manchester United lost five times, while Chelsea only lost three games. But Man Utd have played the better football and deserve to win the Premier League.
Chelsea would have been kicking themselves if Wigan had managed to draw with Man Utd, as Bolton scored a late equaliser which left them two points behind Man Utd in the final Premiership table.
John Terry was taken to hospital after a clash with Petr Cech where he dislocated his elbow. Terry played down the injury & said he would definitely be fit to play in the UEFA Champions League final.

Not a popular win this for me! I’m hoping Chelsea get the result in Moscow.
