I have always thought of Michael Owen as being one of the more intelligent England players, so was amazed to hear him quoted as saying, “I don’t think any of the Croatian team would get into our team.”
Ignoring the obvious fact that England would not be able to include foreign players in the national team, I have to wonder what would make anyone make such an ill judged comment. Croatia had just beaten our precious little mummy’s boys, at Wembley, and were by far the better team on the night.
England and the English people are no longer regarded around the world with the respect and admiration that we once were, and comments such as Owen’s would be best kept to himself. Its just as well that England will not be going to the Euro finals, with this sort of attitude; its worth casting our minds back a few weeks to the Rugby world cup, where it became obvious just how popular our nation has become around the world.

Just goes to show that you shower doggers really are about as talented and as smart as a box of kleenex. Better England didn’t make the euro champs because I couldn’t think of anything more boring than watching another English team destroying yet another sport event with your negative style of play. Your popularity around the world is reflected by your ignorance dating back centuries ago when you assumed that you will always be at the top. News for you! The rest of the world has caught up, your rapist of an empire is dead, like England’s chances of qualifying for the euro 2008. England’s predictable style at the RWC was the worst possible advertisement for the game. KIck, kick … Maybe england should take a look at the rest of the world and develop their game in both codes. Need I mention your cricket team, ha-ha! Losers!!
