The Football Association confirmed 50 charges against Luton Town, current and former officials and six agents over alleged breaches of transfer rules over the past three years.
Former Luton Town manager Mike Newell, who was sacked by the League One club in March, was at the forefront of a Premier League inquiry in 2006 following his outspoken comments to the media that bungs were a part of the English game.
The FA charges include making alleged payments to agents through a holding company called Jayten Stadium Limited, and not the club itself, which breaks FA rules.
Sky Sports reported LutonTown have also been charged with providing misleading information to the FA. Current directors John Mitchell and Richard Bagehot are charged along with former chairman Bill Tomlins and ex-finance director Derek Peter.
The six football agents that have been charged are Sky Andrew, Mike Berry, Mark Curtis, Stephen Denos, David Manasseh, Andrew Mills. The charge is a failure to ensure that payments to them were made and disclosed through proper channels.
