Portsmouth made sure that a team from the premiership will play in the FA Cup final, after winning one nil against West Bromwich Albion at Wembley.
The return trip to Wembley was thanks to a scrappy goal in the second half by Kanu, which pretty well summed up the game. West Brom were the better team for most of the game against a lethargic Portsmouth side who just couldn’t get their game going.
Its been pointed out that Portsmouth haven’t played well in all of their FA cup games but they are through to the final. Could it be that they are saving themselves for that showpiece. I really hope so, they are a much better team than that.
West Brom might feel aggrieved, but can continue their push for promotion, believing that they can hold their own with a premiership team.
