It seems that Derby County are the premiership team making all the moves in the transfer market so far this month. While there is much speculation and rumour elsewhere, and surely some big name signings will take place, County manager Paul Jewell is wasting no time in reinforcing the ranks at his new club.

Jewell’s latest confirmed signing is Egypt midfielder Hossam Ghaly from Tottenham Hotspur, a casualty of the latest clear out at White Hart Lane.

The midlands club are also close to signing  Australian midfielder Mile Sterjovski from Turkish club  Genclerbirligi.
