What’s going on with Manchester Uniteds Carlos Queiroz.

He has launched a tirade of abuse at Spain as a nation, accusing them of trying to ‘naturalise’ Cristiano Ronaldo. His gripe with Real Madrid seems to have sent him a bit over the top as he told a Portugese reporter that “Cristiano Ronaldo will never be Spanish! As they will never take Olivenca again.” Worrying isn’t it?

He then talked about explorer Christopher Columbus;

“They already did the same with Christopher Columbus, and it now seems they want to naturalise Cristiano Ronaldo.”

I assume he was then led away in a straight jacket  and locked in his padded cell, rocking on his haunches, staring blankly.

While I don’t understand much of what he said, I do believe that he has every reason to be angry, but with Real Madrid not Spain in general. They have acted in an  unsportsmanlike  way to say the least, but it’s not the first time. Only last season they did the same with Arjen Robben, and he gave in.

I really hope that Ronaldo is stronger and resists the temptation, at least for a couple of seasons. He has lit up the premiership this season and I would love to keep him here.
