Roma have signed the Norway International John Arne Riise from Liverpool for a fee of 5million euros. The move looked to have broken down in recent days with Riise claiming a 50/50 chance of staying with Liverpool.

Riise has been a fantastic servant for Liverpool, renowned for his fierce shot and tough tackling he has been with the club since joining from Monaco in 2001.

Still only 27 years old he his in his prime and is a player that gives his full commitment in every game, Roma are entitled to believe they have landed a bargain.

Personal terms for the player are said to be in the region of 2.8million over a four year contract and he will officially join Roma on July 1st.
