Tottenham have every reason to consider themselves robbed of maximum points at White Hart Lane today. The Spurs team, looking less lightweight with the addition of Woodgate in defence, controlled the game throughout.
Spurs patient build up coupled with the lightening pace of their front players made for an uncomfortable afternoon for the title contenders. Lennons low cross after bursting past a defender was parried by Van de Sar onto Berbatovs boot, for the goal. Not one of his spectacular efforts, but an important one none the less.
Spurs continued to pin United in their own half for long periods, while defensively snuffling out the threat of Ronaldo when United broke out. Man Utd threw everything at Spurs in the last few minutes and the ball riquoched around Tottenham box like a pinball. before Tevez volleyed in the equaliser from a corner.
You have to hand it to United, they always look likely to score in the last five minutes of games, the mark of a top team for sure. But Ferguson will be relieved that the game is over, while Ramos will be totally devastated.
Ramos has achieved a lot in the short time he has been at Spurs, they are now playing some top class football but not leaking goals at an alarming rate.
