With the first big name, big money transfer competed, seeing Deco complete his much anticipated transfer from Barcelona to Chelsea there is plenty of transfer rumours around to speculate on.
Here is some transfer rumours I am hearing right now for Tottenham Hotspurs.
Peter Crouch to go to Tottenham Hotspur
Peter Crouch to transfer from Liverpool to Tottenham Hotspur with Robbie Keane transferring the other way. I can’t understand why Peter Crouch would want to swap the Liverpool bench for one at Spurs; and that’s what would happen unless Spurs were looking to offload Dmitar “Sulky Pants” Berbatov, as I can’t see Crouch partnering Berbatov. Crouch has already been linked to a return to Portsmouth to partner Jermain Defoe. Both players international careers have suffered due to bench-warming in the past few seasons.
Darren Bent to Everton
Talking of bench-warmers, Darren Bent is apparently being lined up by Everton as David Moyes looks for a similar striker in style to replace Andrew Johnson, who is wanted by Roy Hodgeson at Fulham.
David Villa to link up with Ramos
David Villa appears to be wanted by everyone except Valencia, who are resigned to the fact that they will lose their star striker this summer to the Premiership. Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal and Spurs, among others have all be linked with the signing David Villa, though the transfer rumours appear to be more frequently linking him to a move to White Hart Lane. Former Seville manager Juande Ramos and new transfer signing of striker Giovanni Dos Santos from Barcelona must be as appealing for Villa as a move to Liverpool to continue his international partnership with Fernando Torres.
Paul Robinson is still free to leave Spurs
After being told he was free to leave White Hart Lane in the January transfer window, Paul Robinson appeared to be given another chance by Ramos, though I wouldn’t be surprised if Spurs sign a top class goalkeeper this summer and Paul Robinson moves on to another club. Apparently Martin O’Neil and Aston Villa have made an enquiry interest. What price a move to the dreaded enemy, Arsenal?
Diego Capo transfer battle
Juandes Ramos is very keen to sign the Seville winger from Diego Capo from his former club and is apparently offering around £8million in an attempt to beat north London rivals Arsenal for the young Spanish player’s signature.
Ramos is a great manager and it appears he has been offered a large pot of money in attempt to bring Champions League football to White Hart Lane next season, something Spurs will be capable of, if they can bring some of the players they are being linked with, as well as getting rid of some of the dead wood.
Let me know if you’ve heard any other juicy transfer rumours of players coming and going to Spurs this summer.
