But can you imagine how the press would have described the return of "Calamity" James? Was McClaren too worried about the press? Were the FA? Does it explain why Bowyer - one of the premiership's top scorers this season - can't even get in the squad? Agree completely about Alan Green. I've flamed him on the BBC Blogs before and I might do so again after last night (I listened to some of the first half on the radio).
